BCCS Athletic Director
Qualifications:

• Same as those for a staff member
• Able to administer an athletic program and work closely with the administration and faculty.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a vision for athletics which, in our context, has everything to do with a Christian perspective consistent with our by-laws. Implement this vision throughout all of the inter- scholastic sports in which we participate
• Oversee and lead the transition from the SWACAC to the WPIAL
• Supervise and coordinate all paid and volunteer positions.
• Recruit coaches for all athletic activities approved by the Board.
• Represent BCCS at the conference/league meetings and communicate league business back to the school and coaches. Represent BCCS to the schools in the WPIAL and communicate effectively and efficiently with all the other administrators within the league.

  • *Attend A.D. and Principal meeting every other month. o
  • *Attend WPIAL workshop for new A.D.s
• Arrange schedules for all sports and communicate these to the school officials and appropriate coaches. Communicate with opponent schools: rosters, confirm contests
• Make arrangements for practice and game facilities.
  • Schedule Varsity volleyball and Varsity basketball contests at Geneva or Penn State Beaver
  • Find and schedule a more suitable soccer field for home Varsity contests.
• Arrange for statistics to be kept and submitted to the league for permanent records.
• Meet with coaches periodically to review programs, policies, and budgets.
• Oversee athletic budget.
• Make sure that necessary supplies and equipment are purchase and on hand: first aid supplies, equipment, uniforms, etc.
• Arrange for athletic banquet.
• *Weekly Eligibility Check for all Varsity Sports
• Oversee athletic public relations.
• Schedule referees on-site trainer, scorekeepers, time clock for HOME games. (Policeman for home Varsity basketball games)
• Schedule transportation for AWAY games and practices.
• *Attend all Varsity home contests (Administrator required by WPIAL)
• Fall sports
  • Volleyball-6 home matches
  • Boys Soccer- 6 Home games
• Winter and spring sports-TBA
• Attend Jr High Soccer and Volleyball matches
  • Fall sports-Approximately 10 contests
  • Winter Sports-TBA
• Fund raising for future facilities

BCCS Athletic Director – Middle School

Qualifications:

• Same as those for a staff member
• Able to administer an athletic program and work closely with the administration and faculty

• Provide a vision for athletics at the middle school level integrating a Christian perspective consistent with our by-laws. Implement this vision throughout all of the inter-scholastic sports in which we participate
• Supervise and coordinate all paid and volunteer positions
• Recruit coaches for all athletic activities approved by the Board Represent BCCS at meetings and communicate business back to the school and coaches
• Represent BCCS inter-scholastically and communicate effectively and efficiently with all other school administrators
• Attend A.D. meetings and workshops where required
• Arrange schedules for all sports and communicate these to the school officials and appropriate coaches. Communicate with opponent schools: rosters, confirm contests

• Meet with middle school coaches periodically to review programs, policies, and budgets

• Eligibility check with middle school team leader for all sports
• Oversee athletic public relations of middle school competitions
• Schedule referees, on-site trainer, scorekeepers, time clock for HOME games
• Schedule transportation for AWAY games and practices
• Attend home contests
