August 2011 marks the start of a new adventure for BCCS. For over 40 years, BCCS has offered a fantastic, educational, half day Kindergarten. However, due to the rising needs of many families, BCCS is now offering a full day option! The first half of the day will have the same wonderful Kindergarten that has always been available. However, for those parents who would like to take advantage of the afternoon as well, the option is available.
Students can be enrolled in a half day, enrolled in a full day, or enrolled in a blended option. The blended option refers to three days a week at the full day, and two days a week at the half day. Parents who work and would simply send their child to day care for the afternoon, or parents who want their child to have additional opportunities, or even those who have a child that might need a little bit more attention from his or her teacher, can consider enrolling their child in Kindergarten for the whole day. The blended option is great for parents who need time to work a part time job, or just run errands and get some things done at home. It's also a great way to help the child adjust to being away from home for a longer day, while still allowing parents some time with their little one.
