The following information will help you know what to expect of the Admissions process.
1. It is required that at least one parent or guardian be a Christian in order to be admitted to BCCS.
2. A student must be five (5) years of age by September 1 and have completed a Kindergarten readiness assessment to be admitted to Kindergarten.
3. To initiate the admissions process, all sections of the application must be completed. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received as a complete application.
4. In addition to the application, the following documents must be on file before an admissions interview can be scheduled:
a. Parent(s) paragraph and signature.
b. Two letters of recommendation for the student entering grades 6-12. A letter could be written by a former school teacher, Sunday School teacher, employer or youth leader.
c. A paragraph written by the student (grades 6-12) explaining why they desire to attend BCCS.
d. A copy of the student’s report card or home school evaluation and standardized testing for the last
three years.
e. A completed Pastor Recommendation Form.
f. A $25 nonrefundable application/processing fee.
5. An admissions interview will be scheduled when all application documents are received. During the interview the prospective parent(s) or guardian(s) of the student(s) will be asked to give their Christian testimony. Only one parent is required to provide a testimony. Families will be given an opportunity to ask questions about BCCS.
6. All new students are enrolled on a probationary basis for their first year. During this time it is incumbent on the student to demonstrate that he/she wants to be a part of this school. Should it become apparent during this time that the student is not committed to the goals of this school, he/she will be dismissed.
7. Beaver County Christian School does not discriminate in its admission policies on the basis of race, sex, nationality or ethnicity.
8. After the interview, the family will be notified of the decision of the Admissions Committee.
